Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: May 1, 2026
This Cancellation Policy explains how paid subscriptions for My Vocari can be cancelled, what happens to billing and access, and how cancellations interact with automatic renewal. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Payments for subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). Where this policy refers to the “end of your billing period,” those dates are determined by your subscription record as shown in your account and as maintained by our payment provider.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies if you have an active paid subscription through My Vocari, including:
- Job seekers who subscribe to premium or paid candidate features on My Vocari
- Employers / recruiters who subscribe to paid recruiting or employer features offered through the employer side of the platform (including plans associated with The Lobby network partner branding where applicable)
If you use only free features and do not have a paid subscription managed through our payment provider, this policy may not apply to any billing relationship—but general account closure may still be handled under our Terms of Service.
2. How to Cancel
You may cancel your paid subscription from within your authenticated account, using the subscription or billing area provided for your role:
- Job seekers: use the subscription management options available from your account (for example, the upgrade or subscription section where cancel is offered).
- Employers / recruiters: use the company subscription or billing page where “Cancel subscription” (or equivalent) is shown for your active plan.
You must be logged in as the account holder (or an authorized company user, if your product supports team access) to cancel. If you cannot access your account, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
3. Effect of Cancellation & Automatic Renewal
When you cancel a paid subscription that is billed through our payment provider:
- Automatic renewal stops. Your subscription is set to end after the current billing period. You will not be charged again for that subscription for future renewal cycles once the cancellation has been processed successfully.
- Access through the end of the paid period. For standard paid subscriptions, you typically retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period that was already paid for (or that was already in progress at the time you cancelled). After that date, your subscription ends and paid features may no longer be available unless you subscribe again.
- Not an immediate cut-off. Cancelling does not, by itself, normally terminate access in the middle of a period you have already paid for; it schedules non-renewal at period end, consistent with how our platform configures cancellation with the payment provider.
Your account or subscription screen may show that cancellation is “scheduled” or “cancel at period end” until the billing period completes. That status means renewal is off, not that your cancellation request failed.
Rare billing edge cases (such as outstanding invoices, payment retries, or account status with the payment provider) are governed by the provider's rules and by applicable law. If something looks incorrect in your billing portal or receipts, contact us and we will help you review it.
4. Changing Your Mind Before Period End
If you cancelled but your billing period has not ended yet, the platform may offer an option to continue your subscription (for example, “resume” or undo pending cancellation) while the subscription is still active. If that option is available in your account, using it restores automatic renewal for subsequent periods according to your plan.
Once the subscription has fully ended after the billing period, you may need to subscribe again as a new transaction.
5. Complimentary, Trial, or Non-Standard Access
Some accounts receive access through trials, promotions, or complimentary grants that are not billed through a standard recurring subscription. Cancellation behaviour for those arrangements depends on how access was provisioned:
- If there is no recurring paid subscription on file with our payment provider, ending access may take effect immediately when you cancel or when an admin removes access, rather than at a future renewal date.
- Trial-specific rules (duration, conversion to paid, reminders) will be shown at signup or in product messaging where applicable.
6. Refunds
Fees are generally earned for the subscription period you selected. Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in a separate written agreement or offer, we do not guarantee refunds for partial billing periods or for unused time after you cancel.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us promptly with your account email and any invoice or receipt identifiers so we can investigate.
7. Changes to This Cancellation Policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of paid features after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy for future cancellations; material changes to how billing works will, where required, be communicated as described in our Terms of Service or by email.
